Alexandre Duff is Chief Executive Officer of Volare Shipping, and has been a member of the Trafigura Shipping team since 2021.
Based in Geneva, Switzerland, Alexandre brings nearly 15 years of tanker industry experience to his role and has been instrumental in shaping Trafigura’s tanker strategy, and driving the growth its fleet to over 300 tankers of all sizes. His responsibilities span the entire department’s portfolio – including overall portfolio management, research and analytics, projects and financial investments, risk management, and better integration of the physical trading desks with Trafigura Maritime Logistics.
Prior to Trafigura, Alexandre worked at Howe Robinson Partners, formerly ICAP shipping, in various roles across shipbroking and research, ultimately managing the tanker research department. Alexandre holds an MSc in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass Business School, University of London).
